Brandberg crystals are found only in the Brandberg area and nearby Goboboseb Mountains, an inhospitable and dry section of the Namib, the world’s oldest desert.

Brandberg Amethyst is carefully mined by hand by local miners from beds near the surface. The surface stones are becoming much harder to find, and the miners are now digging deeper and working harder to unearth them.

Brandberg crystal carries Amethyst, Smokey and Clear Quartz within its formation.
